Muda Lawal of Nigeria opened scoring and closed the scorers’ chart of the 1980 African Cup of Nations,scoring the first of tournament’s 33 goals against Tanzania and scoring the last goal in the final match against Algeria.

Very interesting memories. We were fanatical about the Green Eagles as they were then called. Henry Nwosu had just broken into the team. We were extremely jealous of him because he belonged to the other school. We also were jealous of Adokie because he was from another other school, but nonetheless we were proud of them because they represented the best of Lagos schools who graduated into the national team. Can’t wait to see more videos?
