New - Athletics grass track!
Yesterday, the construction of a 200-meters first-of-its-kind, functional, outdoor grass athletics training track began in the grounds of the Segun Odegbami International College and Sports Academy, SOCA, in Wasimi, near Abeokuta, Ogun State.
When completed, God willing, before the next academic session starting in September/October 2026, it will be a model of creativity, functionality and innovation for schools with ambition to develop an athletics program using completely local materials and technology.
SOCA intends to escalate its athletics sprints and jumps program in fulfillment of Late legendary African/American sprinter, Lee Edward Evans’ vision to make SOCA the best grassroots athletics development school in Nigeria with emphasis on girls participation,
This is Day-One on that adventurous journey!
