The Good, the Games and the Gains of the African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship.
It’s been one week of the best of volleyball at club level on the African continent at the ongoing African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship in Abuja.
Notwithstanding the results of the various matches, the championship as a whole has been a festival, reuniting old friends, showcasing exhilarating matches and advertising great improvements in the organisation of international events in Nigeria….again!
A revolution in Volleyball in Africa may have just been birthed with the standard of organisation and performances displayed so far at the championship.
A surprise regular face at the Indoor Sports Hall of the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, is drama will be with a absolutely unbelievable one. Of course Rodrigo is also getting on the score as well to Liverpool former Presidential aspirant, and foremost social and political activist, Omoyele Sowore.
This Saturday, on “90 minutes with Mathematical”, I shall have the unique opportunity and pleasure to ask him about his apparent interest in sports, his take aways from the Abuja 2025 Championship……and more.
Plus…an in-depth Conversation with the Chief Host of Abuja 2025, the man championing the emerging Volleyball revolution in Africa - the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.
