Italian Serie A
Match: Juventus v Cagliari
Synopsis: Juventus will be looking to regain top spot in Serie A when they entertain Cagliari. The visitors are flying high in 6th position on the log, therefore, they should not be underestimated. Juve needs to improve on its’ recent wobbly form and Cagliari has lost its last two league matches.
Verdict: 2-0 (Juventus to win)
Italian Serie A
Match: Napoli v Inter Milan
Synopsis: All eyes will be on Stadio San Paolo when Inter Milan take on Napoli. Gattuso will be looking for his first home win but Inter needs a victory to maintain top spot. Inter have not enjoyed much success in Naples since January 2016. This is a difficult game to predict but therefore I will go for a safe bet. Both teams to score
Verdict: (score draw)
Spanish LaLiga
Match: Getafe v Real Madrid
Synopsis: Three straight draws and just one goal scored has seen Real Madrid fall stumble in the title race. Getafe has been in tremendous form at home, winning 4 and drawing 1 of their last 5 matches at home. Zinedine Zidane’s team is a better side and they should find a way through.
Verdict: 2-1 (Real Madrid to win)
Spanish LaLiga
Match: Real Sociedad v Villarreal
Synopsis: Real Sociedad needs better consistency if it aims to achieve the desired goals for the season. It is up against Villarreal who ended 2019 on a decent note and will offer La Real a game and half at La Reale Arena. We are expecting plenty of goal mouth action; Sociedad has the edge based on their generally decent home form and Villarreal’s loss ratio on the road.
Verdict: 2-1 (Real Sociedad to win)
English FA Cup
Match: Wolverhampton Wanderers v Manchester United
Synopsis: Both managers will demand immediate reactions from their teams following New Year day disappointments in London at Crystal Palace and Arsenal respectively. Wolves dumped United out of the FA Cup last season and will be eager to do same while United will be seeking revenge. This is a winnable game for either side but home advantage should swing in favour of Wolves.
Verdict: 2-1 (Wolves to win)
