‘Dodo Mayana’…!
The news is true.
‘Dodo Mayana’ passed on, yesterday.
Once again, my heart is heavy with pain.
Oh no! Not Dodo, not my good friend, my loyalist, the legendary Nigerian goalkeeper, Peter Rufai, aka ‘Dodo Mayana’.
Between us we had a story that I will share in my editorial, tomorrow morning. Plus the experiences of other special guests including ‘hot’ Nelly Sylva, that shall also share their thoughts and experiences on the great, legendary goalkeeper, Peter Rufai!
Plus bits and pieces about the ‘Night of Tributes’ coming up on Monday, July 28th, to celebrate the lives of Christian Chukwu, Charles Bassey and Obisia Nwakpa, as preparations are ongoing for their funerals in the month of August.
I shall also be inquiring about why retired Nigerian athletes may be dying relatively young; Why most struggle to survive during their post-athletics careers; Why we do not hear of more success stories about retired athletes.
All of these, tomorrow morning from 7:30am on Eagle7 Sports Radio 103.7 FM Wasimi, near Abeokuta, Nigeria, and via our website eagle7fm.com/.
